God So Loved the World

John 3:16.  Perhaps no verse captures the simplicity of the gospel quite like this timeless and well known verse. The 2 sides of salvation are clearly laid out, God’s part, in giving his only son and our part, whoever believes.  It’s no wonder this verse is so widely used and known around the world.

When the Oil Flows Down

Psalm 133:1-3  The unity of believers is likened to oil running down the head, beard and lower garments of the high priest as he was anointed. It was at pentecost that Jesus, our ascended head, sent his Holy spirit, who then descended on the gathered believers to bring a blessing from above.

My Hour is Not Yet Come

John 7:1-20. There was a definite timeline and plan for Jesus life, ministry and death. Several times he clearly says that his hour was not yet, clealry showing that his redemptive plan in no way was left to chance, but was orchestrated by God, all in the fulness of time.(Galatians 4:4)
