I just finished another journey through Psalms ending with Psalm 150. In this short psalm 13 times in 6 verses we find the word “Praise”.
This crowning Psalm of praise tells us:
Who to praise (1a).
Where to praise (1b).
Why to praise (2).
How to praise (3-5).
and Who should give praise (6).
I have always loved the fact that right in the middle of our Bible there is a song book, a book of praise. How fitting! For surely there should be a song of praise in the heart of every Grace believer? (Col 3:16, Eph 5:19).
The first words of the psalms, “blessed is the man” and the last words of the psalms “praise the Lord”. Ah how blessed we are, so let us praise Him.
Some translations give emphasis in that last verse, “YOU praise the Lord”. Right after “let everything that has breath praise the Lord”, it then looks to the reader and says “YOU praise the Lord!”.
Ah let us Praise the Lord today!
